Disease modification in advanced Parkinson’s disease: a review and roadmap for paving the way for next-generation interventions

Newcastle University

Online resource

© The Author(s) 2026.Parkinson’s disease (PD) exhibits highly heterogeneous clinical trajectories, yet “advanced PD” (aPD) lacks a standardized definition. Current reliance on clinical milestones (e.g., motor fluctuations, cognitive decline) is limited by non-linear progression and the absence of objective measures.

Spectrum sensing and resource allocation for 5G heterogeneous cloud radio access networks

IET Communications

Online resource

Abstract In this paper, the problem of opportunistic spectrum sharing for the next generation of wireless systems empowered by the cloud radio access network (C‐RAN) is studied. More precisely, low‐priority users employ cooperative spectrum sensing to detect a vacant portion of the spectrum that is not currently used by high‐priority users.

Improving the Transferability of Suspended Solid Estimation in Wetland and Deltaic Waters with an Empirical Hyperspectral Approach

Remote Sensing

Online resource

The deposition of suspended sediment is an important process that helps wetlands accrete surface material and maintain elevation in the face of sea level rise. Optical remote sensing is often employed to map total suspended solids (TSS), though algorithms typically have limited transferability in space and time due to variability in water constituent compos…
