Unveiling the Hidden Reservoir: High Prevalence of Occult Hepatitis B and Associated Surface Gene Mutations in a Healthy Vietnamese Adult Cohort

Microorganisms

Online resource

We uncovered a high prevalence of both HBsAg-positivity (17.6%) and OBI (9.3% HBsAg-negative, HBV DNA-positive). Serological analysis revealed a massive, age-dependent reservoir of past exposure (63.7% anti-HBc) characterized by a high and increasing prevalence of the anti-HBc only profile (31.5%), a key serological marker for OBI.

Carbon dioxide uptake in a eutrophic stratified reservoir: Freshwater carbon sequestration potential

Heliyon

Online resource

Carbon capture and storage due to photosynthesis activities has been proposed as a carbon sink to mitigate climate change. To enhance such mitigation, previous studies have shown that freshwater lakes should be included in the carbon sink, since they may capture as much carbon as coastal areas.

A Cost-free Alternative Approach to Simulation of Pressure Transient Response for Slightly Compressible Fluids

Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology

Online resource

Generating pressure transient response for an interpretation model to describe essential features of a reservoir system accurately is often difficult. It is generally due to the inaccessibility of standard pressure transient analysis tools due to the cost, and even when accessible, they are constrained to its workflow and limitations.
