Privacy and Data Use Notice
The WPU Library Research Hub collects limited usage information to improve library services, evaluate online resources, support usage reporting, and prepare accreditation evidence. Public browsing does not require a portal login.
What data may be collected
Search terms, resource access clicks, resource viewed, visitor type, campus, college, department, course/program, purpose of access, feature interactions, browser user agent, IP address, and date/time of use may be recorded when available.
Purpose of collection
Data are used for library service improvement, e-resource evaluation, collection development, troubleshooting access problems, security monitoring, analytics, reports, and accreditation support.
How data are used
The University Library uses aggregated portal statistics to understand what resources are needed, what links require checking, and what topics students and faculty commonly search for.
Data protection statement
The portal does not ask public users for passwords for normal browsing. Access forms and feedback forms should collect only information necessary for library usage statistics and support. Public error messages should not expose database or system details.
