The 2024 Library Manual sets out four connected goals for strengthening library services and their contribution to the University.
Intensify Services
- Develop services that meet information needs in instruction, research and extension.
- Extend library service to the WPU community and beyond.
Magnify Resources
- Build collections in formats relevant to study, research, extension, culture and leisure reading.
- Support the professional and personal development of library personnel.
- Improve technology, content organization and accessibility.
- Provide exhibitions, learning spaces and suitable facilities.
- Preserve, conserve and restore library resources.
- Seek and use funds to support community information needs.
Amplify Access
- Make resources and services discoverable on and off campus.
- Promote the Library’s resources, services and value.
- Develop partnerships that strengthen services, collections and other resources.
Fortify Impact
- Use data to understand library users and assess service effectiveness.
- Improve library plans, policies and procedures through continuing review.
