Library Facilities & Learning Spaces

Explore the study, collaboration, computer, and multimedia spaces described in the library guide.

The manual describes several kinds of learning and service spaces. Check your campus microsite for the facilities actually available at your library.

Reading Areas

Spaces for reading, individual study and research, with areas suited to quiet work and areas for small discussions.

Discussion Rooms

Spaces for group discussion, subject to room capacity and availability. The manual requires at least two users, normally permits up to two hours, and requires rooms to be vacated 15 minutes before library closing. Extensions depend on demand and staff approval.

Instructional Media Center

A facility supporting seminars, workshops and school-sponsored activities that need audiovisual or technical assistance.

E-Services Area

Computer and internet facilities for finding and using electronic books, journals, databases and other information resources.

Baggage and waiting areas

Use the baggage counter according to campus instructions and keep money and valuables with you. Waiting areas support visitors and other clients awaiting assistance.
